E. Karakas
Enver Karakas is a distinguished Fellow Engineer and Senior Manager of the Pump and Hydraulic Expander Development Division at Ebara Elliott Energy. He has > 20 yrs of experience in the design and development of turbomachinery for oil and gas applications. Dr. Karakas specializes in cryogenic pump and hydraulic turbine technologies and is responsible for product development, testing and troubleshooting of cryogenic rotating equipment. He earned an MS degree and PhD in mechanical engineering from the University of Nevada, Reno (U.S.). He has been a research associate with the University of Nevada, Reno and has established and led the Turbomachinery Laboratory at the University of Nevada, Reno, where he studied and investigated cavitation performance of cryogenic centrifugal pumps and multiphase flow in cryogenic turbines.
