What is an auger feed screw? Feed screws are used to transport granules and other products by pushing or pulling the product along. Fig. 1 shows an auger-type design. The shaft is a pipe with the flight spirals welded onto it. Several pipe sections may be welded or attached together.     Fig. 1.
