Qatar to supply Egypt with up to 24 LNG cargoes
Under the swap deal, BG Group and Malaysia's Petroliam Nasional Bhd will give Egypt about 500 million cubic feet/day of the natural gas they extract in the country to help ease its fuel shortage, while Qatar Gas will reportedly send the LNG directly to the companies' overseas customers.

Mexico City gas tanker explosion kills at least 22
One of the two gas tanks broke away from the truck in the San Pedro Xalostoc neighborhood just off the highway, setting fire to everything flammable in its path. The truck was identified as belonging to a company called Termogas, which distributes gas in several Mexican states.

Shell-Iraq venture to double gas processing output
The venture will process 500 million cubic feet/day (MMcfd) of natural gas by the end of this year, Iraq's South Gas Co. Director said, compared with 240 MMcfd that was being captured in November 2011 when the JV was agreed. State-run South Gas Co. holds 51% of the $17.5 billion joint venture.
APA Group interested in buying gas pipelines from Australian LNG ventures
The APA executive said the ventures are particularly interested in selling the core pipelines running from gas fields in Queensland State’s Surat Basin to the port of Gladstone on the coast. He added that any deals would be more straightforward once the pipelines had been built over the next year or so.
