Praxair to supply planned NWR refinery in Alberta with new air separation unit
The North West Redwater refinery is scheduled to start up in 2016. The NWR gasification process will consume oxygen to produce hydrogen, which is used to upgrade bitumen into diesel and other higher value hydrocarbon products. Initially, the refinery will convert 50,000 bpd of bitumen.

Atlas Pipeline adds Texas gas processing plants with Teak Midstream deal
Atlas Pipeline CEO Eugene Dubay said Teak Midstream's assets are new, highly efficient and are located in the heart of one of the most prolific plays in North America. The assets being acquired include two cryogenic processing plants and 265 miles of high-pressure, rich gas-gathering lines.
Praxair opens largest Bahrain air separation plant
Praxair's plant has the capacity to produce 350 tpd of oxygen, making it the largest air separation unit in Bahrain. The air separation unit will also produce liquid nitrogen, oxygen and argon to supply a diverse group of customers in the regional merchant market, including refineries and chemical plants.

Williams, Shell launch US gas processing alliance
The new venture, Three Rivers Midstream, has signed a long-term fee-based dedicated gathering and processing agreement for Shell's production in the Pennsylvania area. The joint venture also plans to pursue gathering and processing agreements with other producers in the liquids-rich region.
UOP technology to remove acid gases for Petronas floating LNG in Malaysia
The PFLNG 1 facility, designed to extract natural gas from offshore wells and liquefy and store it for later transport, will use UOP's Amine Guard FS process to remove carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulfide from the liquefied natural gas (LNG) feed streams. The FLNG unit is scheduled to start up by the end of 2015.
Air Products to supply LNG heat exchangers for Petronas expansion project
Air Products' SplitMR liquefaction process and technology was selected and will be supplied to the Petronas LNG Train 9 Project. This project will produce 3.6 million tpy of LNG and is an expansion of the existing Petronas LNG complex in Bintulu, Sarawak, Malaysia. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Australia's Woodside shelves Browse LNG project
Gas from the Browse development, which also counts Shell, BP and Asian companies as shareholders, will no longer be piped to a processing facility at James Price Point on the Western Australia state coast. The development offers a sign that Australia's energy construction boom may be peaking.
