AspenTech buys German firm SolidSim Engineering
Aspen Technology (AspenTech), a producer and distributor of software and services to the process industries, has acquired SolidSim Engineering GmbH, a Germany-based provider of solids process modeling software. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Process technology licensor GTC Technology reached a global agreement with ConocoPhillips for its selective partial oxidation of sulfur (SPOC) technology for sulfur recovery.
