AspenTech buys German firm SolidSim Engineering
Aspen Technology (AspenTech), a producer and distributor of software and services to the process industries, has acquired SolidSim Engineering GmbH, a Germany-based provider of solids process modeling software. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

FMC Technologies said Friday it has agreed to acquire Control Systems International (CSI), a supplier of process control and automation system solutions. Headquartered in Lenexa, Kansas, with operations in Irvine, California, and London, England, CSI has approximately 150 employees.
GTC strikes deal with ConocoPhillips to license sulfur recovery technology
Process technology licensor GTC Technology reached a global agreement with ConocoPhillips for its selective partial oxidation of sulfur (SPOC) technology for sulfur recovery. GTC says its SPOC technology is the most significant innovation in the “modified Claus” technology space in the last 30 years.
