Uhde to supply turnkey skid-mounted chlor-alkali electrolysis plant to Leuna-Harze
Uhde has begun construction of its first ever skid-mounted chlor-alkali electrolysis plant in Leuna, Germany. Uhde was awarded the contract by Leuna-Harze GmbH, a European producer of epoxy resin, to build a turnkey membrane electrolysis plant with a production capacity of 15,000 tpy of chlorine.
BASF Chongqing MDI project approved
BASF has received approval for a 400,000 metric tpy diphenylmethane diisocyanate (MDI) project in Chongqing, China. The investment will total RMB 8 billion (approximately €860 million). The facility, which will produce a core component mainly used for polyurethane foams, is expected to start up by 2014.
Air Products meets increased hydrogen needs at Marathon’s Garyville refinery
Air Products announced on March 17 that it will increase supply of hydrogen to Marathon Petroleum Co.'s Marathon’s Garyville, Louisiana, refinery.
