Honeywell awarded equipment contract for Dangote’s largest single-train refinery

DES PLAINES, Ill. – UOP LLC, a division of Honeywell International Inc. announced that it has won a contract from Dangote Oil Refinery Company Ltd. for critical equipment, technology licensing and design services for a world-scale integrated refinery and petrochemical plant. When completed, the integrated complex in Lekki, near the capital of Lagos in Nigeria, will be the largest single-train refinery in the world.

Uzbekistan starts construction of $2.2-B oil refinery

TASHKENT (Reuters) -- Uzbekistan started construction of a $2.2 B refinery on Thursday, which will use oil imported from Russia and Kazakhstan, state news agency UzA reported.

HOUSTON -- Bechtel, a company in engineering, procurement, and construction, announced that the company has been awarded two contracts by Carbon Holdings of Egypt: one to provide project management services for the Tahrir Petrochemicals Complex at Ain Sokhna, Egypt, and one to build two new polypropylene units at an adjacent site. In its project management role, Bechtel will have oversight of project execution and contractor performance on what will be the largest petrochemicals complex in Egypt.

Fluor awarded contract for two Marathon refineries in Texas

IRVING, Texas – Fluor Corporation announced that it was selected by a division of Marathon Petroleum Corporation to execute the engineering and procurement scope for a major reconfiguration at Marathon’s Galveston Bay and Texas City, Texas refineries. Fluor will book the undisclosed contract value into backlog in the first quarter of 2017.
