Shaw selected to assist at Adana Dogu Akdeniz refinery in Turkey

The Shaw Group Inc. has been awarded a contract by Dogu Akdeniz Petrokimya ve Rafineri Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S. (DAPRAS), a subsidiary of Çal k Enerji, to provide project management consultancy (PMC) services for a grassroots refinery in Yumurtalk located in the Ceyhan region of Turkey on the eastern Mediterranean coast.

Siemens to work on NGL plant in UAE

Siemens Energy has been awarded a $40 million project in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to engineer and supply an integrated power solution for a natural gas liquids (NGL) fractionation plant. The customer is a joint venture between Petrofac and GS E&C on behalf of Abu Dhabi Gas Industries Ltd. (GASCO), responsible for the fractionation of natural and associated gas from onshore oil operations in the emirate of Abu Dhabi. Siemens will be the main electrical contractor for GASCO’s Ruwais 4th NGL train, located in the city of Ruwais, UAE. The train is scheduled to go into operation in March 2012.

Aramco, Total sign Jubail refinery financing

SAUDI Aramco and Total have closed a low-cost, $8.5bn project financing for Saudi Arabia's Jubail export refinery. Signed in late June, the deal – the first project financing in Saudi Arabia to feature an Islamic bond – was comfortably oversubscribed, receiving commitments for over $13.5bn. The financing covers 70% of the total project cost; the remainder will be funded directly by the sponsors, working together as Saudi Aramco Total Refining & Petrochemical's (Satorp), of which Aramco holds 62.5% and Total the remainder.

Jacobs receives contract for European copolymer manufacturing facility

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. has a contract with The Dow Chemical Co. to provide engineering and construction management services for the expansion of Dow’s facility in Fombio, Italy.
