Invaluable insights to optimize the performance of separator systems
11 October 2022

Sponsor: Tracerco

For over 60 years, Tracerco has provided invaluable insights to enable operators to make informed decisions. Its specialist inspection techniques, sophisticated tracers and advanced measurement technologies can accurately and rapidly diagnose a wide range of production issues and problems. Tracerco DiagnosticsTM services can be provided at the hydrocarbon recovery and separation stages of production. These services enable you to optimize the performance of separator systems by measuring online and in real time what is occurring within your offshore assets.

In this webinar, we will discuss how Tracerco’s field-proven technologies can provide immediate real time measurement of any changing process conditions. By identifying issues such as mechanical damage, leaks, deposit build-up, maldistribution, oil in water and liquid carryover, shutdowns can be planned much more efficiently whilst minimizing lost time and associated costs. Register today to learn how we can help you maximize production throughput, reduce operating costs and minimize environmental impact.

Axens solutions to energy transition towards Sustainable Aviation Fuel
4 October 2022

Sponsor: Axens

In a world taking steps to decrease the GHG emissions and lower the environmental impact of transportation, Sustainable Aviation Fuels currently accounts for 0.1% of global jet fuel needs. Government authorities, Refining companies, and the Aviation industry are collectively exploring the different technology pathways to substitute fossil-based Jet fuel with renewable and sustainable bio-based jet fuel. The ambitious target set by the authorities requires combining different technologies for every available feedstock around the world. Indeed, a single solution is not expected to fulfill the future demand for bio-jet.

In order to ensure a smooth energy transition, Axens is pleased to present various technology pathways for Bio-Jet production describing their benefits, technical advantages, and impact on carbon footprint.

Energy Transition is a Journey: Do you know where you stand and where to go?
27 September 2022

Sponsor: GE Digital

There is no doubt the progress of Energy Transition will rely on data and software to support the operational knowledge and excellence of downstream organizations.  There is a lot of information about achieving decarbonization goals, transitioning to renewables, and moving towards net-zero.  Although this is important, it is key to understand what your organization has in place today that can make an immediate impact on these bigger trends.  It is even more important to acknowledge the Energy Transition is a people-driven process—as much as a software one.

Hear how organizations like yours can leverage Asset Performance Management (APM) for their Energy Transition journey:

  • Identify the level of Energy Transition maturity in your organization
  •  Learn about APM processes and solutions you can leverage today to start your journey
  •  Build a vision for your organization’s transition to a lower carbon world

Decarbonizing Olefin Plants
13 September 2022

Sponsor: AVEVA

Olefin plants are large, complex units at the heart of petrochemical complexes because olefins are used as raw materials in many widely-used chemical and polymer products. No matter how important olefins are to industry, and to everyday life, there is no escaping the need to decarbonize on a way to a sustainable plant. During this webinar, Peter will discuss how to achieve a more sustainable olefin plant using Real-Time Optimization and Supply Chain Management software.

Implementing Enterprise-Wide Asset Performance Management: Where Do I Start?
6 September 2022

Sponsor: Honeywell

Digitalized asset performance management (APM) combines performance monitoring, machine learning, and predictive analytics to find the root cause of impending issues and reveal opportunities for performance improvement.  New technologies incorporate sustainability, business-level analytics, and strategic maintenance planning. Understanding underlying causes of low performance enables personnel to quickly bring assets back to established KPIs, industry standards, and regulations.  But, how can I actually improve operations and leverage these capabilities enterprise-wide?

Layered, holistic modeling can speed issue detection, provide the highest prediction confidence, and calculate remainder of useful life.  Results can be up to 25% improved advanced warning times allowing pro-active maintenance before failures, and 50% fewer false positives. Adding Cloud IoT streamlines scalability and data access – from unit, to site, to enterprise.

Learn how combining Cloud-deployment with APM provides a simple, scalable, secure SaaS solution with enterprise-wide IoT services and business integration for supply chain facilitation, and sustainable energy and emissions.

Green Refinery Challenges: Small-scale Sulfur Recovery
24 August 2022

Sponsor: Merichem

Renewable fuels production is achieved by hydrotreating vegetable oils (HVO) and waste greases. Within the new HVO processing technologies, there is co-production of carbon dioxide (CO2) and a small amount of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) in the reactor systems. An amine unit can remove the unwanted CO2 from the process but also removes the H2S. The resulting acid gas stream contains far less sulfur than is practical to remove with a typical refinery sulfur recovery unit (SRU) using Claus technology.

A multinational oil and gas company based in Europe uses a proprietary sulfur recovery technology to serve as the SRU. The liquid redox system uses a chelated iron solution to convert H2S to innocuous, elemental sulfur. The webcast will present a case study on the unit that is designed to remove about 4 metric tons per day of sulfur from an acid gas with up to 7 mol% H2S.
