Simon Wright is the Executive Vice President, Marketing, for KBC. He is responsible for KBC’s business strategy and marketing functions. Mr. Wright returns to KBC through Yokogawa’s acquisition of Industrial Evolution, where he was founder and CEO. He started his career with Esso Petroleum (now ExxonMobil) in the UK doing process control, process engineering and planning. Mr. Wright then joined KBC’s process automation division, which was subsequently sold to Honeywell. At Honeywell, he had various marketing and business management roles globally, and eventually left to establish Industrial Evolution, a pioneer in the use of the cloud for industrial applications. Mr. Wright holds a degree in chemical engineering from Imperial College, UK and an MBA from INSEAD, France.
