Kazakhstan to upgrade, expand Pavlodar refinery
The project will boost processing capacity to 7 million metric tpy of oil, up from 5 million tpy now. The works are slated for completion in 2018. Built in 1978, Pavlodar is the largest oil refinery in Kazakhstan.
INEOS begins commercial-scale cellulosic ethanol production at Florida hub
The biofuels produced in Florida will anchor the new production of cellulosic ethanol under the Renewable Fuels Standard. INEOS Bio is working with other companies and cities globally to use this technology as a new direction for waste disposal and the production of advanced biofuels.
Foster Wheeler to manage new Vietnam project for refining, petrochemicals
The complex will consist of an integrated refinery, processing 200,000 bpd of crude oil, and a petrochemical complex, with associated infrastructure, utilities and offsites facilities. The refinery is designed to process Kuwait Export crude. The plant will have the facilities for full conversion.
Methanex to help develop renewable fuel in Europe
Methanex and CRI said they intend to collaborate on large-scale projects based on CRI's emissions-to-liquids technology. They plan to leverage Methanex's operational experience and global reach with CRI's unique expertise in the production of ultra-low carbon renewable methanol.

Petrovietnam to provide Ecuador with diesel oil
Petrovietam won a contract to supply Ecuador with 2.16 million bbl of diesel oil, state-run company Petroecuador confirmed. Nine cargoes of 240,000 bbl each are scheduled to arrive next month.
