ExxonMobil and Badger to market a new catalytic process
ExxonMobil Research and Engineering Co. (EMRE) has signed an agreement with Badger Licensing LLC (Badger) to jointly market EMRE’s BenzOUTTM technology, a novel catalytic process to reduce benzene in gasoline while delivering other additional benefits.

KBR and Saudi Kayan startup grassroots cracker
KBR has announced the startup of a 1.35 million metric tpy steam cracker at Saudi Kayan Petrochemical Co.’s (Saudi Kayan) olefins plant located in Saudi Kayan’s petrochemical complex in Al-Jubail, Saudi Arabia. KBR executed the engineering, procurement and construction management of the cracker.
Pall brought on board for UAE natural gas plant
Pall Corp. has been contracted to supply critical enabling technologies for the Habshan 5 natural gas treatment plant being constructed by Abu Dhabi Gas Industries Ltd. (GASCO) in the UAE. A joint venture of Tecnimont S.p.A. and JGC Corp has ordered Pall SepraSolTM liquid/gas coalescer systems, filters, porous metal high flow elements and activated carbon units for the approximately $5 billion processing plant.
SABIC and Lurgi GmbH ink oleo-chemicals deal
Saudi Basic Industries Corp. (SABIC) has signed an agreement with Lurgi GmbH for the technology licensing and engineering that will allow SABIC to produce oleo-chemicals at its affiliate, Saudi Kayan Petrochemical Co. (SAUDI KAYAN), following the completion of new facilities to be constructed in Jubail, Saudi Arabia.
