Oiltanking, PERN sign JV for Poland liquids terminal

Oiltanking and petroleum logistics firm PERN have signed a joint venture to jointly develop and construct a terminal for the storage and handling of bulk liquids in the Port of Gdansk, Poland. The terminal will potentially be able to store and handle crude oil, refined oil and petrochemical products.

GE to supply compressors for Shell Australia FLNG

GE Oil & Gas has entered into an agreement with Technip to supply two steam turbine-driven compressors for the Shell Prelude floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) project. The facility, which is to be based offshore Australia, will be the largest floating offshore facility in the world.

Chevron inks sales deal from Australia LNG project

Chevron said it signed a sale and purchase agreement with Kyushu Electric Power Co. for the delivery of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the Wheatstone project in Western Australia. Under the binding agreement, Chevron, together with Apache and Kufpec, will deliver up to 700,000 tpy of LNG to Kyushu Electric for up to 20 years.

GE sees rising gas turbine sales in North America

Air Products expands Korea nitrogen fluoride plant

Air Products is more than doubling its nitrogen trifluoride (NF3) capacity at its production facility in Ulsan, Korea. The new capacity is expected to be onstream in the second half of 2012.
