Clean fuels firm Neste Oil divests Estonia gas unit
European renewable diesel supplier Neste Oil has sold its majority-owned (93.85%) Estonian subsidiary, AS Reola Gaas, to the Estonian-based Alexela Group. The transaction was completed on Monday. The parties said they agreed not to disclose the value of the sale.
US petroleum demand increased in June - API data
Total US petroleum deliveries in June were up on both a year-on-year and month-on-month basis, according to information released Friday from the American Petroleum Institute (API). Moreover, deliveries were up 1.9% for the first six months of 2011 over the same period in 2010.

Elliott Group has won contracts from Brazilian oil major Petrobras to supply compressors for expansion projects at the company's REGAP and REMAN refineries as well as the new northeast refinery RNEST. Release of strategic oil reserves: New form of economic stimulus
On June 23 International Energy Agency (IEA) members announced the release of 60 million barrels of strategic oil reserves over a month—the equivalent of 2 million barrels per day (bpd) for 30 days. Half of this amount—30 million barrels—will come from the US Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR), which currently holds 726.5 million barrels of crude. The release of 60 million barrels over 30 days will temporarily increase world oil supply by about 2.3 percent.
