HOUSTON — KBR, Inc. announced that it has been awarded a contract by Dorogobuzh JSC (owned by JSC ACRON) to provide licensing and basic engineering design (LBED) to revamp an ammonia plant—originally built by KBR—located in the Dorogobuzh, Smolensk region of Russia.

Port Corpus Christi approves 41-acre lease agreement with Howard Energy Partners
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX — The Port of Corpus Christi announced the approval of a long-term lease agreement with Maverick Terminals Corpus LLC, a subsidiary of Howard Energy Partners. The 30-yr lease agreement was approved unanimously by port commissioners for approximately 41 acres of land on the north side of the Corpus Christi Ship Channel in the Inner Harbor.

SHANGHAI — Wison Engineering Services Co. SNC-Lavalin awarded FEED conversion to EPC contract by Brahms Oil Refineries
MONTREAL — SNC-Lavalin has been awarded a contract by Brahms Oil Refineries Limited to undertake a front-end engineering design (FEED) conversion to EPC contract for a 10,000-bpd crude oil refinery in Kamsar, Guinea. The FEED will provide a budget cost estimate to obtain a final investment decision (FID) for the project in the third quarter of 2017.

SCG to proceed with Vietnam petchem project investment
Vina SCG Chemicals Co., Ltd. (VSCG), wholly-owned subsidiary by SCG, has approved to proceed with the investment of the Long Son Petrochemicals Company Limited (LSP). LSP issued the Letter of Award to key contractors on July 14 and the final contract signing is expected to be in the second half of 2017. The estimated 4.5-yr construction of the complex is managed under the consolidated turnkey lump sum project format, with commercial operation expected by the first half of 2022.
