Essar Energy Transition announced the launch of EET Hydrogen Power, Europe’s first hydrogen-ready combined heat and power plant to be built at its Stanlow refinery, with the aim of completing construction in 2027.

Samsung C&T to build Korea's fist ammonia import terminal for co-firing power generation
The terminal will include facilities for storing, unloading, and transporting ammonia. A 30,000-ton storage tank will be used to compress and store ammonia for co-firing power generation. The terminal will also use a fuel blend comprised of at least 20% ammonia for co-firing with coal to reduce carbon emissions.

China regulator launches country's first 'green' jet aviation fuel center
The Civil Aviation Authority of China launched the country's first technical center for sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) that focuses on standard setting and product research. The center is setting up test facilities for new products which added that China's total aviation fuel consumption is likely to exceed 50 MMtpy by 2030 and the use of SAF could reach 2.5 MMtpy.
