Sutar, S. M.
Shankarachar M. Sutar is a senior scientist at the Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (CSIR) in Hyderabad, India. He has more than 20 years of research and development experience in mechanical systems design, process plant equipment design and CAD/CFD in structural/piping analysis. He received a BE degree in mechanical engineering from Gulbarga University in Karnataka, India and an MTech degree in design and production engineering from NIT in Durgapur, India. He is pursuing a PhD from Osmania University on the topic of vibration and instability of elastically restrained pipe/carbon nanotube conveying fluid.
Experimental study of flow-induced pipe vibrations with guided end conditions
A study has been performed on the vibrations and stability of fluid-conveying pipes with guided ends. Guided ends are the most common type of pipe ends, as they enable the pipe to have free movement.
