Wilson, D.
is the process control lead engineer for Flint Hills Resources’ Corpus Christi, Texas refinery. He directs the team that provides process control technical support for refinery operations. He has implemented advanced process control applications on crude oil and vacuum distillation, reforming, fluid catalytic cracking and hydrocracking units. Recently, his responsibilities have expanded to include operations excellence oversight—defining the right operating envelope limits for safe, reliable and compliant operation, and providing the tools and support to ensure that the plant runs within those limits. Mr. Wilson holds a BS degree in chemical engineering from the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada, and has over 30 years of experience in the refining industry.
