Asahi Kasei Mitsubishi Chemical Ethylene Corp. naphtha cracker restarted

Asahi Kasei Mitsubishi Chemical Ethylene Corp.’s naphtha cracker in Mizushima has been restarted after production was suspended in July due to a malfunction in its refrigeration system.  The restart was conducted August 14, 2016 after the completion of necessary repairs and an inspection.  The production capacity of the unit is estimated to be 496 Mtpy after the shutdown.  Normally, the unit is capable of producing 567 Mtpy.
