Synthetic Oils Dear Mr. Bloch, I think in the last conferences about rotating equipment in the US, you have made some comments on using synthetic oils in the pumps bearing boxes. I would appreciate receiving your input on this matter as we feel that synthetic oils are used only whenever mineral oils have reached performance limits and can no longer meet application requirements such as: Very low or high temperatures Extremely high loads Extraordinary ambient conditions Need to meet special requirements such as flammability.
