Emerson Process Management, an Emerson business unit, has a $32 million contract with Petrobras to upgrade metering technology aboard nine floating production units. The automation project is to improve oil and gas production measurements at the offshore Marlim oil field in Brazil's Campos Basin. The facility currently produces 500,000 bpd of oil and 460 million cfd of gas. Contract scope includes design, procurement, mobilization and installation onboard three floating production, storage, and offloading vessels, five semi-submersible production units, and one floating storage and offloading unit.
