USFilter provided Navajo Refining Co.'s refinery in Artesia, New Mexico, with API oil/water separators, granular activated carbon adsorber systems, multi-media filters and packed bed softeners. This was done to meet numerous industry regulations. Financial terms were not disclosed and the upgrades are now online. Two above-ground, steel tank API separators from USFilter Envirex Products are installed. Each separator can process 600 gpm maximum hydraulic flowrates for oil/water separation. The units were completely shop-fabricated and painted prior to shipment, to minimize field installation time and expense.
