American Chemistry Council and Dow Chemical open IRPC Americas 2018
Day one of Hydrocarbon Processing's International Refining and Petrochemical Conference (IRPC Americas) opened with American Chemistry Council Chief Economist, Dr. Kevin Swift and The Dow Chemical Company Commercial Director-US Olefins, Manav Lahoti. Swift presented on how the revolution in shale gas is fostering a US chemical industry renaissance. Following Swift's presentation, Lahoti provided strategies for managing a global integrated asset footprint for competitiveness.
The two-day conference and exhibition provide a high-level technical forum in which key players in the petrochemical and refining sectors meet to share knowledge and learn about best practices and the latest industry advances. The conference also serves as an ideal venue for HPI professionals to network with their peers.
Day one also included speakers from BP, ExxonMobil, Valero, and Sinopec among other industry professionals.
