Asia 10-ppm sulfur diesel margin hits record high

Asia's 10-ppm sulfur diesel margin rose to a record high on Friday, LSEG data showed, as concerns persisted over supply tightness.
The prompt-month crack closed above $76 a barrel as of 0830 GMT.
"With the refining system in Asia paralyzed without enough crude from the Middle East, the amount of gasoil produced will reduce significantly," said June Goh, senior oil market analyst at Sparta Commodities.
Goh added that medium sour crudes generally produce more middle distillates than more easily available crudes like U.S. WTI.
Refinery runs across northeast Asia have been curtailed due to tighter crude supply after the Middle East conflict broke out, in turn limiting spot diesel volumes available for sale.
