MK-Polymer LLC, located in Seversk, Tomsk Region, has delivered a consignment of ethylene-propylene rubber to JSC Kazenergokabel, the largest cable plant in Kazakhstan, and tested it, the Tomsk company's press service said.
The plant launched and refined the technology for applying the materials to cables up to 1 kV, testing conditions at various cross-sections and insulation thicknesses.
"The process was stable, and the technology was adapted to the plant's equipment. After applying the insulation, thermal deformation tests were conducted, and the results were successful and meet standard requirements. Following the joint work, a certificate of material processing was signed," according to the statement.
MK-Polymer intends to develop cooperation with a Kazakh plant to supply ethylene-propylene rubber going forward.
MK-Polymer LLC was registered in 2019 to produce fire-retardant compounds. In 2020, the company acquired an additional production line for polymer composites and received resident status in the Seversk advanced development area.
