Vietnam's largest refinery, Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical LLC, has processed the first batch of non-Kuwaiti crude oil, the company said, as it seeks to diversify its feedstocks.

The batch of 1 million barrels of Das Blend crude oil was imported in December and had been fully processed by Monday, the company said in a statement.
The company said Kuwaiti crude oil will remain its key feedstock.
Nghi Son will import 12.5 million tons of crude oil this year, it said, adding that it will operate at 120% of its designed capacity.
The 200,000-barrel-per-day refinery is 35.1% owned by Japan's Idemitsu Kosan Co, 35.1% by Kuwait Petroleum, 25.1% by Vietnam's state oil firm PetroVietnam and 4.7% by Mitsui Chemicals Inc.
