U.S. crude stocks, gasoline and distillate inventories fall
U.S. crude stocks, gasoline and distillate inventories fell last week, the Energy Information Administration (EIA) said on Wednesday.
Crude inventories fell by 3.3 MMbbl to 433.6 MMbbl in the week ended March 21, the EIA said, compared with analysts' expectations in a Reuters poll for a 956,000-bbl draw.
Crude stocks at the Cushing, Oklahoma, delivery hub fell by 755,000 bbl, the EIA said.
Refinery crude runs rose by 87,000 bpd, the EIA said.
Refinery utilization rates rose by 0.1% in the week.
U.S. gasoline stocks fell by 1.4 MMbbl in the week to 239.1 MMbbl, the EIA said, compared with analysts' expectations in a Reuters poll for a 1.8-MMbbl draw.
Distillate stockpiles, which include diesel and heating oil, fell by 420,000 bbl in the week to 114.4 MMbbl, vs. expectations for a 1.6-MMbbl, the EIA data showed.
Net U.S. crude imports rose last week by 845,000 bpd, EIA said.
