Cleanova adds Micronics to its filtration portfolio
Cleanova continues to build on its position as a global leader in industrial filtration with the acquisition of the Micronics Engineered Filtration Group, a leading manufacturer of filter media and industrial filtration systems, combined with expert field services to meet demanding requirements across a variety of industrial applications.
With the addition of Micronics, Cleanova further cements its position as a leading clean-tech manufacturer of consumable, mission-critical and engineered industrial filtration systems, helping customers ensure the reliability and efficiency of their processes while protecting the environment.
As part of the deal Chris Cummins, formerly of Micronics, becomes CEO of Cleanova. He commented: “Joining forces with Cleanova marks a pivotal moment for our business, positioning us for a new chapter of accelerated growth and innovation on a global scale. This strategic move will further enable our ongoing ambitions to expand our global reach and diversify our product offering while maintaining our commitment to delivering excellence to our customers”.
Based in Chattanooga, Tennessee (U.S.), Micronics comprises a portfolio of leading industrial filtration brands, including Micronics, Action Filtration, SOLAFT, AFT, NFM, Filterfab, SFM, CPE, UPC and AeroPulse. It operates from multiple locations in the U.S., England, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, India, China and Australia, and designs and manufactures vacuum filtration equipment in the U.S. along with filter presses in both the U.S. and the UK. With a strong reputation for innovation, quality and customer service, Micronics also shares Cleanova’s mission to place the customer at the heart of decision-making.
This is the fourth major acquisition by Cleanova since it started operating in 2023 and follows the purchase of Allied Filtration in January 2025. This transformative combination with Micronics further strengthens Cleanova’s presence in North America as well as EMEA, and is truly complementary across markets, geographies and product portfolios. Cleanova’s leadership in liquid filtration solutions will be enhanced by Micronics’ upstream pressure and vacuum filtration process offerings as well as its leading position in air filtration solutions.
Javaid Riaz, former Cleanova CEO and now Member of the Board of Directors, remarks: “This announcement marks a significant milestone in Cleanova’s growth journey, propelling us into a new phase of geographical expansion and product diversification. We are excited to become one of the largest independent industrial filtration companies in the world.”
Chris Cummins concludes: “Looking ahead, we will actively connect with customers, employees, and other stakeholders to communicate our vision for the expanded Cleanova group and our strategy to capitalize on future opportunities.”
