Motiva shuts FCC, alkylation units at its Port Arthur, Texas (U.S.) refinery

Motiva Enterprises completed shutting the gasoline-producing fluidic catalytic cracker-3 (FCC-3) and the alkylation units at its 626,000-bpd Port Arthur, Texas, refinery on Tuesday for planned work, said people familiar with operations.

The 81,000-bpd FCC-3 and the 18,000-bpd alkylation unit are scheduled to be shut until the middle of March for overhauls, the sources said. The 50,000-bpd cat feed hydrotreater will be shut on a later date for work while the FCC is shut.
