EIA: U.S. crude stocks, gasoline and distillate inventories fall
U.S. crude stocks, gasoline and distillate inventories fell in the week ending June 28, the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) said on Wednesday.
Crude inventories fell by 12.2 MMbbl to 448.5 MMbbl last week, the EIA said, compared with analysts' expectations in a Reuters poll for a 680,000-bbl draw.
Crude stocks at the Cushing, Oklahoma, delivery hub rose by 345,000 bbl on the week, the EIA said.
Refinery crude runs rose by 260,000 bpd, while refinery utilization rates rose by 1.3%. U.S. gasoline stocks fell by 2.2 MMbbl in the week to 231.7 MMbbl, the EIA said, compared with analysts' expectations in a Reuters poll for a 1.3-MMbbl draw.
Distillate stockpiles, which include diesel and heating oil, fell by 1.5 MMbbl in the week to 119.7 MMbbl, versus expectations for a 1.2-MMbbl drop, the EIA data showed.
