Hygenco plans green ammonia project at Tata Steel industrial park

Hygenco Green Energies Pvt Ltd plans a green hydrogen and ammonia project at Tata Steel's Gopalpur Industrial Park in Odisha, India. Through a subsidiary, they've signed an MoU with Tata Steel Special Economic Zone Limited for the project, aiming to produce 1 MMtpy of green ammonia by December 2026. The partnership, approved by Odisha's High-Level Clearance Authority, aims to solidify Gopalpur as a green hydrogen and ammonia hub.
