Human skull discovered at Whiting (U.S.) bp oil refinery, according to East Chicago Police

Human remains, identified as a skull, were discovered at the bp Whiting Refinery in Northwest Indiana.
East Chicago police responded to the scene at 2815 Indianapolis Blvd in Whiting around 9:45 p.m., where a crew found the skull during maintenance work on the pipe system, encased in gravel near a refuse bin.
The discovery prompted the involvement of the Indiana Lake County Prosecutor's Homicide Task Force and Lake County Coroner's Office. As of now, no additional information is available, and authorities are actively investigating the incident. ABC7 has contacted bp for comment.
