U.S. biofuel credits climb to highest since July on refiner buying

U.S. biofuel credits surged 30% from last week to their highest since July after refiners actively bought in the market, traders said.

Renewable fuel (D6) credits for 2019 traded at 26 cents apiece, up from 23 cents in the previous session and 20 cents on Friday, traders said.

The price rise follows recent White House negotiations seeking agreement to a deal between Big Corn and Big Oil over U.S. biofuels policy. (Reporting by Stephanie Kelly Editing by David Goodman)
