AMPO launched in 2009 a valve manufacturing plant in India to assist with customer’s demands and requirements, enabling them to offer solutions and alternatives within the market. Initially, they rented a pavilion in the city of Coimbatore, on July 2009 the company obtained the certificate for the creation of AMPO India and by June 2010 orders were already being assembled and sent. During this period and till 2017, AMPO had had rented simultaneously up to four pavilions in the area.

The new AMPO plant comprises an area of approximately 15,000 square meters and includes valve assembly, testing, painting and packing facilities. With this new facility, AMPO will be able to manufacture up to 72 in. size valves, as well as extend capabilities. The valve production at the new facilities will start in April.

As far as management is concerned, AMPO India will be an exact copy of the Spanish plant. In Coimbatore, AMPO counts with the same departments of Spain and it also has its own Management. However, the different departments in Spain and India are continually in touch, and the presence of Spanish workers in the Indian workshop is continuous, so that the coordination and communication is fluent.
