NRL wax exported to Indonesia, Dominican Republic

Numaligarh Refinery Limited wax is on its way to Indonesia and Dominican Republic after an export consignment comprising of 40 metric tons of fully refined paraffin wax was flagged off to the two countries from NRL's marketing terminal by GM NRL Mr. N. Borthakur. With this, the total export of paraffin wax from NRL's wax plant stands at 2,172 metric tons.

NRL Wax has been exported to eight countries: Mexico, Kenya, Nepal, Bangladesh, Nicaragua, Thailand, Hong Kong (China) and Brazil. The company also is pursuing opportunities to export Wax to other countries in the near future.

The 50,000 metric-ton wax plant, commissioned in March 2015 at a cost of Rs. 676 crores, is the country's largest wax producing unit with indigenous technology developed by IIP Dehradun, EIL and NRL.
