Axens wins takover bid on Heurtey Petrochem

Following the reopening of an offer on Heurtey Petrochem from Jan. 16-27, Axens now holds 4,354,286 shares and 4,428,786 voting rights of Heurtey Petrochem in concert with IFP Investments. This represents 88.6% of the share capital and 88.3% of the voting rights. The settlement date of the Offer will take place on Feb. 6.

“Axens is pleased with this result which now permits building a new group together with the Heurtey and Prosernat teams,” the company said in a press release.

IFP Investments said that following the offer, 1,769,785 shares the firm holds in Heurtey Petrochem, which represents 36% of the share capital and 36.8% of the voting rights of the Company, will transfer to Axens.

IFP Investments also will transfer its 50% holding of Eurecat to Axens, to consolidate Axens’ position in the field of services associated to the sale of catalysts.

“This transfer together with the merge of Axens and Heurtey Petrochem gives birth to the new reference technological industrial group, specializing in clean fuels and eco-efficient technologies, present in the refining, petrochemical, natural gas, biofuels and renewable chemical intermediates sectors, right at the heart of energy transformation,” Axens said in a press release.
