Process disruption accelerates Neste's Porvoo refinery maintenance

Neste has started maintenance work at diesel production line 4 at its Porvoo refinery. This replaces the maintenance turnaround planned for next spring. A recent process disruption lead to catalyst coking in the production line, and the company decided to carry out maintenance turnaround tasks planned for spring 2017 during the next one and a half months. The line has already been stopped, and preparations for the maintenance are underway.
This maintenance turnaround will have no impact on Neste's scheduled diesel deliveries to its customers. The maintenance work is estimated to have an approximately $33 MM negative impact on Neste's comparable EBIT, and be mainly booked in the Q4 of 2016. Most of this impact is a result of lost production.
