Rompetrol to perform scheduled maintenance work at Petromidia Refinery

Rompetrol has begun maintenance work at its Petromidia refinery. The work was initially scheduled for September and is periodic maintenance of units. The maintenance is scheduled to last for 15 days.

The refinery finished staggered shutdown procedures, and the emptying and steam-cleaning of equipment will be carried out. During this period, repair work, maintenance and technological tests on the units will be performed.

The company will continue the supply of products to clients during the maintenance period, according to the commitments.

The refinery is also undertaking an investigation into the explosion and fire August 22 that killed a refinery worker and injured three more. Rompetrol is providing support to the authorities involved in the investigation.
