Linde, Elliott Group align on small, mid-scale LNG

Elliott Group and The Linde Group's engineering division have entered into an agreement to cooperate in the small-to mid-scale LNG business, the companies announced on Monday.

The parties have developed a highly-standardized and modularized concept for the main refrigerant cycle compression section of Linde's StarLNG plants ranging from 0.2 MMtpy to 1.3 MMtpy.

"With this initiative, we have further enhanced the degree of standardization of our StarLNG family, which allows us to combine best-in-class quality with competitive pricing and attractive delivery times," said Marcus Lang, executive vice president of the LNG and gas processing lines for Linde's engineering business.

The agreement enables Linde Engineering to significantly increase the speed to the market, according to company officials.

John Rann, vice president of engineered products at Elliott Group, expressed his company's excitement to embark on the partnership with Linde.

"We are delighted to support The Linde Group in their endeavors to further increase competitiveness with Elliott's line of highly efficient, technically advanced centrifugal compressors, and our wealth of experience in refrigeration applications," Rann said.
