Valero reports gas emissions at Corpus refinery

By Dan Molinski

Valero Energy reported emissions of gas at its refinery complex in Corpus Christi, Texas.

The refinery cited a "compressor malfunction" as the cause of the emissions, according to a filing with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. The plant said it "routed gas to authorized control device."

The emissions, which were at the refinery's east plant, began and ended Monday evening, it said.
