CB&I has been awarded a contract valued at approximately $300 million by Sunoco Partners for the expansion of the Marcus Hook industrial complex in Marcus Hook, Pennsylvania, officials announced on Monday.
The award is part of Sunoco's Mariner East 2 project.
The scope of work includes the engineering, procurement, fabrication and construction of four large low-temperature tanks that will be used for the storage of refrigerated ethane, butane and propane, or natural gas liquids (NGLs).
CB&I previously announced it is providing an ethane and propane tank for the complex as part of the Mariner East 1 project.
"CB&I provides superior low-temperature storage solutions," said Luke Scorsone, president of CB&I's fabrication services operating group.
"This award for the expansion of the project builds on that expertise and underlines our success executing large-scale projects through completion," he added.
