Louisiana refiner contracts CB&I on $100M project for Tier 3 clean fuels

CB&I has been awarded a contract valued in excess of $100 million by a major energy company for a Tier 3 clean fuels project, the company announced on Thursday.
The scope of work at the refinery in Louisiana includes detailed engineering, procurement, module fabrication and site construction of a naptha hydrotreater and a revamp of an existing gasoline selective hydrotreater, which uses CB&I's CDHydro / CDHDS technology.
"The award builds on the long-term successful relationship between CB&I and our customer," said Philip K. Asherman, CB&I's president and CEO.
"We are pleased to be selected for the continuation of this project and are committed to working with the customer to ensure the highest levels of performance, quality and safety," he added.
The name and specific location of the client were not disclosed.
