HOUSTON -- With estimated energy projects at over $200 billion and growing in North America, Gulf Publishing Company (publisher of Hydrocarbon Processing) and Houston events company Stone Fort Group are launching the inaugural Energy Construction Forum (ECF) as a way for project leaders to connect and interact.

ECF is the Gulf Coast's largest energy construction forum and expo, offering a unique and timely gathering covering all phases of major expansions and new construction projects with a focus on the challenges and solutions facing the industry today.

Industry leaders have said as many as 100,000 craft workers could be needed for planned projects in Texas and Louisiana alone, potentially doubling what the industry sees as its maximum sustainable number and presenting a major challenge to developers.

The forum will be held on March 3-4, 2015, at the Moody Gardens Convention Center in Galveston, Texas, about 45 miles southeast of Houston.

"This conference & expo provides a rare opportunity to engage with key decision-makers and executives who are directly involved in the planning, execution and purchasing decisions that impact their project’s success and bottom line," said Gulf CEO John Royall. "With $200 billion in planned infrastructure spending, this creates challenges that need to be addressed."

Hosted by Hydrocarbon Processing, Gas Processing and Construction Boxscore Database and organized by Stone Fort Group, the forum will bring together key stakeholders in the rapidly-growing marketplace for energy projects and construction.

Major market players are expected to engage on topics such as opportunities, challenges and solutions facing the industry today, with special emphasis given to companies involved in major projects. Those include expansions as well as new construction and infrastructure development for the petrochemical, refining, chemical, pipeline, terminals & storage, loading/transfer systems, GTL, LNG and NGL industries.

The conference will include a general session panel as well as three specialized tracks for contractors, workforce development and project management.
