BETE obtains ASME code certification for boilers, pressure vessels

BETE Fog Nozzle has received ASME certifications for the design and manufacture of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section VIII Division 1 pressure vessels and for power piping in accordance with ASME B31.1.

National Board certification for the repair and alteration of pressure vessels was also obtained, the company announced on Friday.

BETE is the first spray nozzle company to obtain these ASME and National Board stamps.

"A long history of supplying fabrications to the ASME B31.3 Process Piping code certainly helped in the rigorous process to obtain the U, UM, PP, and R certifications," said Tom Bassett, vice president of engineering and quality for BETE.

The process includes a thorough, independent audit of all design, material procurement, manufacturing, inspection, and nondestructive testing processes.

The added capability to design and manufacture pressure vessels, piping systems, and spool pieces to these codes provides customers with ease of sourcing the equipment for their spraying challenges.

The spray nozzle, feed piping, and vessel can now all come from one, qualified supplier, minimizing the potential for multi-supplier integration and communication problems.
