Jacobs Engineering Group has received a contract from Honeywell to provide integrated project management services for a new project in Zhangjiagang, China, officials said on Tuesday.
The contract value was not disclosed.
Under the terms of the contract, Jacobs is providing services such as basic and detailed design, permitting, project controls, quality, HSE management, procurement, and construction management services, with the option to provide commissioning and start-up support as required.
The plant is scheduled to start up in the fourth quarter of 2014.
"Jacobs is very pleased to continue our support of Honeywell in China with this significant greenfield project in Jiangsu," said Jacobs vice president Tom Quinn.
"We look forward to helping them meet their project goals by drawing upon our local technical and project management capabilities, fortified by our 35 years of experience in the chemicals industry in China," he added.
In Honeywell's recent announcement confirming the new plant, the company said the initial phase of construction will include catalyst and adsorbents production capacity for Honeywell's UOP business.
