FMC opens biopolymer technical hub in Singapore

FMC Corp. recently opened its new Singapore Technical Center in Singapore Science Park 2, the company said on Wednesday.

The facility, which features a state-of-the-art food laboratory, will serve the technology and formulation needs of FMC's growing food and beverage customers in Singapore and throughout Southeast Asia.

"Our biopolymer food ingredient technologies are among the most sophisticated and widely used in the industry, but what truly sets us apart is FMC's technical collaboration and formulation capabilities that we offer to all of our customers," said Mary T. Clarke, general manager of food ingredients for FMC BioPolymer.

"Our new Singapore Technical Center brings our premier service model to Southeast Asia customers who want to develop their products faster and more efficiently."

"Combining an exceptionally strong technical selling team with an advanced food laboratory has been a winning formula for our business and our customers in China,” said Stewart Campbell, Asia Pacific commercial director for FMC BioPolymer.

“We're now pleased to be able to offer that same level of service and in-market support in Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines, Australia and throughout Southeast Asia, from a laboratory in the premier R&D location for the food ingredients industry in the region."

FMC BioPolymer describes itself as a world leader in the food and pharmaceutical functional ingredients markets.
