Indian Oil to use hte catalyst testing system in R&D

High throughput experimentation company hte said that Indian Oil will implement hte's parallel reactor technology to enhance its R&D efficiency in the field of oil refining.

hte will supply an X4500 high throughput catalyst testing system for hydroprocessing applications to the IndianOil R&D Centre in Faridabad, India, the company said.

“We are pleased that IndianOil has decided to use hte's state-of-the-art high throughput technology and are looking forward to developing a positive and long-lasting relationship,” said Dirk Demuth, CEO at hte.

“This is of strategic importance to us and increases our exposure to India’s fast-growing R&D market,” he added.

The X4500 16-fold parallel reactor system of hte is optimized for the high throughput testing of hydroprocessing catalysts under demanding industrial conditions, according to the company.

Applicable feedstocks range from middle distillates to heavy vacuum gas oil.

The company’s robust and reliable 5th generation technology allows small-scale catalyst testing over extended periods of time whilst maintaining data quality comparable to pilot plant data, the said.

Furthermore, it features an analytical suite for real-time full product analysis.
