Heraeus opens Asia photovoltaics hub in Singapore
Heraeus, a world leader in developing front and back-side silver pastes for crystalline solar cells, on Friday hosted the grand opening for its Asian photovoltaics center in Singapore.
The center will be Heraeus latest full-service facility complete with research and development, manufacturing, sales and technical service capabilities, the company said.
Heraeus is committed to increasing its capacity with several expansions, including the new facility in Singapore, said Andy London, global manager for the photovoltaic business unit.
Although the industry is going through a short-term consolidation, we expect full recovery and growth in the future.
Heraeus manufactures high volumes of thick film pastes for companies within a variety of industries.
For over 40 years, it has built a reputation of innovation, extensive research and new product development, it says.
The Heraeus SOL series of silver pastes is specially formulated to provide higher efficiencies and wider processing windows, resulting in better yields and higher output for cell manufacturers, according to the company.
