OGT plans October seminar for gas treating issues
Optimized Gas Treating (OGT), developer of the gas-treating process-simulation model ProTreat, will host a workshop-seminar examining complex issues in gas treating.
The seminar will be held on Oct. 17-19 in Houston.
The two-day workshop on advanced gas treating, conducted in informal small groups with hands-on instruction on Oct. 18–19, will be preceded by a one-day, free session exploring predictive performance of advanced-technology simulation based on observed-fact modeling.
Participants will earn CEU credits for all sessions.
The two-day workshop will present advanced concepts in gas treating, including amine blends, phosphoric acid additive, activated MDEA, piperazine and several other topics, the company said.
Participants will apply simulation in numerous case studies requiring in-depth troubleshooting of real problems.
The Oct. 17 free seminar will focus on shale gas treating and carbon capture, and includes an introduction to ProTreat, Optimized Gas Treating’s mass-transfer rate-based computer simulation model.
“The increasing complexity of gas treating requires advanced expertise and observable-fact tools to help engineers and other professionals make the right decisions when accuracy without guesswork is the goal,” said Ralph Weiland, OGT president.
