KBR wins pre-FEED for Anadarko LNG plant in Africa

KBR was awarded a contract by Anadarko Mozambique to perform a pre-front-end-engineering and design (pre-FEED) study for a prospective liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant in Mozambique, Africa.

The award of the contract follows the recent natural gas discoveries by Anadarko and its partners in the Rovuma Basin offshore Mozambique.

The pre-FEED study is designed to help Anadarko further assess the viability of developing an LNG facility to export natural gas from the region.

Partners in the joint venture are Anadarko, ENH, Mitsui, BPRL, Videocon, and Cove.

“KBR is proud to be selected by Anadarko and with a long, proven reputation as a key leader in the development and construction of many of the world's LNG facilities, we will deliver a reliable study in the early stages of this important LNG development,” said Mitch Dauzat, president of gas monetization for KBR.

“KBR consistently delivers complex LNG projects on time and within budget with a demonstrated ability to deliver in challenging, remote locations,” he added.
